I use qualitative methods, including interviews, observations, archival analysis, and digital ethnography, to examine how broader social and political forces such as global conflict, shifting ideologies, and community tensions shape identity in the world of work.
Currently, my work is organized around two core research streams:
Identity Work Across Transitions
This stream investigates how global, political, and organizational forces shape identity management processes. I focus on how individuals adjust, prioritize, or shed parts of their identity as they respond to changing expectations, constraints, and life circumstances.
Narrative Construction in Public and Digital Spaces
This stream explores how individuals curate and perform aspects of identity over time. I am interested in how people manage self-presentation in both organizational and platform settings, balancing coherence, adaptability, and visibility in relation to audience and context.
